After a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and a successful career as an environmental consultant, Rev Palmer earned an MDiv from Emory University. Following clinical pastoral training, she was retained at Emory University Hospital as the Spiritual Health Oncology Fellow to provide spiritual care to patients, families and staff in both outpatient and inpatient oncology settings and to develop research knowledge and experience. Rev Palmer earned an MSPH in Epidemiology at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, where she focused on spiritual care at end-of-life and chaplaincy interventions targeting those who are religiously unaffiliated.
