First Cohort of Fellows Graduates
As the academic year wound down, Transforming Chaplaincy marked graduations across the country as its first cohort completed their studies and received their Master’s degrees. “This group represents remarkable accomplishments across the board,” said George Fitchett, Transforming Chaplaincy Co-Director. “The dedication that these chaplains showed in persevering through their studies even while serving patients is just astounding.” Among the graduates are a summa cum laude and an inductee into Delta Omega, the national honorary society in public health. All of the Fellows have made ground-breaking contributions to their respective fields, and their work clearly is helping change the way chaplaincy is practiced and understood today. Co-Director Wendy Cadge said “it’s been a privilege to work with all of these women and men and we’re so grateful to have had the chance to launch them onto new paths in their careers.”
