Update: research on wisdom as phenomenon
We previously reported on work by Helen Butlin, exploring wisdom as a phenomenon. Butlin’s research is now available in full and at no charge through Western University. Butlin noes that “this work is uniquely situated as an interdiscplinary project, bridging poetics and science – two often-conflicting paradigms – and develops a unique methodology of hermeneutic-poetic-phenomenology adapting the tradition of phenomonology further into how poetry is its own form of rigorous inquiry.” You can find “Searching for wisdom: A phenomenological investigation of womens’ perspectives following participation in an ovarian cancer supportive care group” at the attached link.
