TC Fellow presents on palliative care to state APC group
Transforming Chaplaincy Fellow Paul Galchutt will host a research dissemination celebration, sponsored by Transforming Chaplaincy, on Thursday, May 9 from 8 to 9 AM at the University of Minnesota (East Bank, Mayo Memorial Building 3-100). Along with Chaplain Judy Connolly, Paul will present and discuss the results of a research project with 7 palliative care team focus groups, composed of non-chaplain interprofessional team members. The research question was “What content is most helpful as well as missing from palliative chaplain spiritual assessment progress notes?” Along with the presentation, an executive summary of this research will also be available.
In related news, Paul recently defended his University of Minnesota MPH in an oral presentation titled “Helpful and Missing from Palliative Chaplain Progress Notes.” Congratulations, Paul! Transforming Chaplaincy will post updates as our second cohort of research-literate chaplains complete their MPH programs.
