Fitchett receives COMISS medal

Transforming Chaplaincy has been honored once again for its leadership in spiritual care research. Earlier this month co-director George Fitchett was awarded the 2019 COMISS Medal, given to recognize “individuals who have made significant contributions to the international spiritual and pastoral care and counseling movement.” Fitchett follows in the footsteps not only of Henri Nouwen, the first recipient of the medal in 1988, but also Wendy Cadge, Transforming Chaplaincy’s second co-director.
